Quill is not trying to be an ERP. It does what a small business actually needs — and does it well.
Bookkeeping
Double-entry bookkeeping with gap-free verification numbers. Describe the business event in plain words — "sale incl. 25% VAT", "reverse-charge foreign service" — and Quill proposes the right accounts and amounts. The VAT report is derived for you, already split into Skatteverket's boxes.
Invoicing
Create and send customer invoices, record supplier invoices and expenses. Everything is booked to the right accounts as you go, so you never key the same figure twice.
Document handling
Upload receipts, contracts and supporting documents and attach them to the right verification. They stay in the archive for as long as you need them — not in a binder in a storage room.
Share register
Every Swedish limited company must keep a share register (aktiebok). Quill derives holdings from dated entries, so you can see who owned which share numbers on any date — with share classes, clauses, share certificates and a printout to file. A mistaken entry is corrected with a reversing entry, never erased.

FAQ
What people ask before switching
What does Quill actually cost?
50 kr a month if you pay yearly (600 kr per year), or 60 kr a month if you pay monthly. Prices exclude 25% Swedish VAT. There is also a free plan with a limited number of entries if you just want to try it.
Can I move over from my current system?
Yes. Quill imports SIE files, the format Swedish bookkeeping systems export to. You bring earlier fiscal years with you and carry on where you left off.
Does Quill follow Swedish bookkeeping law?
Quill is built to the requirements of Bokföringslagen: verification numbers in an unbroken sequence with no gaps, verifications that cannot be edited after the fact (corrections are made with a reversing verification), and supporting documents kept in the archive. Responsibility for the bookkeeping being correct still rests with you as the business owner, as it does with any bookkeeping system.
What happens to my data if I leave?
It's yours. You can export the entire ledger as an SIE file at any time and take it with you — it costs nothing and does not require cancelling first.
Can Quill keep the company's share register?
Yes, and it is included in the price. You record the founding, new issues and transfers by share number, and Quill derives holdings, votes and each owner's share of the capital — as of any date, so you can see how the register looked at a shareholders' meeting. Share classes with clauses, share certificates and archived printouts are all there, and a mistaken entry is corrected with a reversing entry rather than deleted.
Do I need an accountant?
Plenty of people handle everything themselves, especially in a smaller company with few transactions. If you do want help, you can invite your accountant as a member of the company at no extra cost.
What support is included?
Email us and we'll help — if you hit a bug or get stuck in the interface, we want to hear about it. What we don't do is keep your books for you. That kind of hands-on help is expensive to staff, and going without it is a large part of why Quill can cost 50 kr a month instead of several hundred. We put the effort into making Quill clear enough that you can handle it yourself.
