Break date
Description
Pure function splitting a date/time into its calendar parts: year, month (1-12), day of month, hour, minute, second, millisecond, weekday (MONDAY..SUNDAY), weekdayNumber, dayOfYear, ISO week and week-year, quarter and the number of days in the month. Every part is read in the date's own time zone/offset, not converted to UTC. weekdayNumber is ISO-8601: 1 = Monday ... 7 = Sunday. isoWeekYear can differ from year around New Year (2027-01-01 is week 53 of 2026). Pair with Add to date for calendar arithmetic.
When to use
Use Break date when you need a single part of a date as a number or enum: to route on the day of the week, to check whether a date is the last day of its month (compare Day with Days in month), to group records by quarter or ISO week, or to build a custom label. All parts are read in the date’s own time zone, so pass a value from Now with the zone you care about rather than a UTC timestamp. For a formatted string, Format date/time is simpler.
Pins
Input pins
| Pin | Type | Default | Notes |

output into the Value input of Switch, and add case pins for SATURDAY and
SUNDAY.
